Less well-known than the “other” Dallas, this one is named after E.J. Davis — whose hometown was Dallas, Texas. Originally developed as a stopover for stagecoaches traveling between Atlanta and Rome, it became known as the “Crossroads of Georgia” in the 1800s for its central location in the state.
Today, Dallas is a thriving city with a historic downtown district and a strong sense of community. The city is home to several colleges and universities, as well as several businesses and industries. Dallas is also a popular destination for tourists who experience the city’s Southern hospitality and unique culture. Dallas’ economy has always been based on agriculture, providing a haven for the farmer’s markets that the locals enjoy. With its population growth over the years, the city has many other industries, and now has a thriving downtown district full of shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
